Itinerary
Pick up from your Nairobi Hotel at 0700hrs and drive north towards the Northern circuit, where lies Samburu National Reserve. We’ll arrive at around 1300 hours in time for lunch. Check-in, relax and then at 1600hrs, proceed for an afternoon game drive. Samburu is awesomely unique as it is a home of the semi-nomadic tribesmen, the reticulated giraffe, the Grevy's zebra, gerenuk, beisa oryx, somali ostrich and a home the Africa’s big game including the African Bush Elephant and the African Lion.
Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Breakfast followed by a full day game drive within the Samburu Game Reserve. This wilderness covers 165km in area and boarders the Ewaso Ng’ iro River. It is a home to the Samburu Special five which are endemic to the North and cant be easily spotted in other parks. It is the best location to spot the African leopard and has a flourishing birdlife with a record of over 450 species.
Dinner and Overnight at the lodge
Breakfast and then check-out at 0800hrs with a game drive en-route, alternatively you can go for an early morning game drive before breakfast. You can also have an optional visit to a Samburu Village to experience how the Samburu people live, learn the origin of their culture and why they practice to this day. After a successful expedition at Samburu, we’ll depart for Nairobi arriving at around 5pm
